Bosque Madre is a regenerative agriculture project with over 15 years of real practice in the Mediterranean. Suelos Vivos is our way of sharing what we have learned.
Over 15 years transforming soils in the Mediterranean
Bosque Madre was born from a simple question: is it possible to produce quality food, reduce costs and improve the soil at the same time?
The answer, after years of experimentation on our farm in Tormos (Alicante), is yes. But it requires changing the way we understand soil: not as an inert support to which nutrients are added, but as a living ecosystem that, when it works well, fertilises, protects and sustains the crop.
We have been practising, documenting and teaching these techniques for over 15 years. What started as a personal search became a reference point for the regenerative movement in Spain and southern Europe.
Suelos Vivos is the distillation of all that learning: a programme designed so that professional farmers can follow the same path with real support.
What guides us
Practice over theory
Everything we teach we have done with our own hands. We don't lecture about what's in books; we share what works in the field.
Autonomy as the goal
The goal is not for you to depend on us. It's for you to finish the programme with the tools, knowledge and confidence to continue on your own.
The soil as teacher
Observe, listen and read the soil before intervening. Nature has been solving problems for millions of years; our job is to understand it.
The place
Tormos, Alicante. The classroom is the field.
The Bosque Madre farm in Tormos, in the interior of Alicante, is where the in-person workshops take place. A real Mediterranean environment: dry climate, calcareous soils and crops such as olive, carob, citrus and market garden.
This is not an experimental space created for the programme. It is an active agricultural holding where every technique is applied with real consequences. That makes the learning different.
